Resumen |
The book opens showing a divided country in South Africa ruled by white government that creates a political and social system according to which only white people have political rights and non-white people (black people) are not free in their own land. This is the world Nelson Mandela was born and this is the world that he wants to change. He is a freedom fighter, who believes that people of all races and colours can live together in peace and equality. All his life is quite difficult for him and his family specially when he is sent to Robben Island Prison and has to pass many years in jail. But he makes people love him so his friends ans supporters demand that Mandela has to be free. Then in 1994, an excited Nelson Mandela is elected president. And now he has a long and difficult way in front of him to build the country he has always dreamt. |
